Artykuł ma na celu usystematyzowanie wiedzy uzyskanej z niezależnych międzynarodowych badań determinant finansowania przedsiębiorstw kredytem handlowym poprzez przeprowadzenie metaanalizy głównych grup czynników uwzględnianych w modelach: zadłużenie, płynność, wielkość firmy, rentowność, zapasy i możliwości wzrostu. Dokonano selekcji 26 przedsiębiorstw korzystających z kredytu handlowego na podstawie analizy publikacji poświęconych źródłom finansowania. Zbudowano bazę danych zawierającą informacje o 232 szacunkowych modelach. Oszacowano model logitowy w celu wskazania cech prób i metod badawczych, wpływających na istotność determinant firm finansujących się kredytem handlowym. Efekt finansowania dłużnego przy wykorzystaniu kredytu komercyjnego zależy od kraju oraz od cech badanych przedsiębiorstw.
